A blog recently reported that a major movie studio wants remake Jane Austen's classic book "Emma," into a movie inspired by Lil Mama's "Lip Gloss" video! The idea is that the remake of "Emma" would take place in an inner-city high school and will have more of a hip-hop/urban feel with at least 15 song and dance numbers. It’s a new beginning and Lil Mama is at the helm - the voice of the young people! Hailing from the East New York section of Brooklyn, 16 year-old Lil Mama has been honing her skills for 5 solid years and has grown into a triple threat excelling at rhyming, singing and dancing.
Led by the James "Groove" Chambers-produced first single and new anthem “Lip Gloss,” Lil Mama is also working with producers like Swizz Beats, Green Lantern, Dame Grease, Carl Shack and Scram Jones to create an arsenal of powerful songs for her debut album - aptly titled The Voice of the Young People - coming later this year.
